Why attend this course?

In light of the recent fatal terrorist attacks in Europe, the British Security Services have warned of an increased likelihood of a mass casualty event here in the UK, with the possibility of major transport hubs, iconic sites and crowded spaces being targeted. Home Secretary Theresa May recently described the current situation as "perhaps greater than it has ever been". This important training course will raise awareness by providing an introduction to the terrorist threat and offer advice on personal security, office security and business resilience and critically how to respond to a terrorist attack. Interactive role-play and real life case studies will enhance the learning experience and delegates will be issued with a certificate of attendance on completion of the course.

Training Course Aim The aim of the workshop is to provide an interactive platform whereby delegates actively participate in a realistic and challenging terrorist-related scenario in order to raise awareness of the current terrorist threat and what measures should be undertake to minimise the risk. Delegates work in syndicates, supported by exercise staff to discuss the possible outcomes of a multiple terrorist attack in an urban environment, that could impact on their businesses.
Course Content The workshop will incorporate real-life case studies, delivered in a crisis management seminar-based format to allow delegates to actively engage in stimulating debate over a four-hour period.

1. Discuss the current threat to UK businesses
2. Terrorist mission  profiles and consequnces of attack
3. Protective security solutions
