Our testing and training is delivered at a pace that starts slowly and builds up gradually, to ensure that our clients get maximum value from the training experience. Trident observe the Business Continuity Institute Good Practice guidelines in accordance with BS 25999, to deliver exercises in accordance with ISPS guidance. Workshop pricing is based on cost per delegate. For large groups, a set price may be negotiated.

Why attend this course?

Trident instructors are Business Continuity Institute specialist professionals in the faculty of exercising and auditing. Our training staff can assist companies in developing and testing Incident Management Plans. Independent verification can assist in the identification of shortfalls in team preparation and corporate incident prevention and response strategy. Guidance within the ISPS Code Part B 13.7 recommends that companies carry out security exercises every 12 months.


The workshop is designed to allow delegates to gain an awareness of the maritime piracy threat and improve the decision-making process of key members of the Incident Management Team. It also exposes the operational level considerations and provides an opportunity to prove the lines of communication needed during a maritime piracy incident.

Operational Task Management of a maritime security related incident
Training Course Aim To provide members of a corporate Incident Management Team, Company Security Officers and seafarers with an awareness of the maritime security threat, in order to reduce the risk to maritime assets and crew in transit through or operate within high risk waters. The workshop also provides the platform to practice quick-time decision-making and the response procedures needed to deal with a ship hijack incident, piracy or terrorist attack.
